What does Dong Xiaowan do?
There were ten emperors in the Qing Dynasty from 1644 to 19 1 1, and Shunzhi was the first emperor after entering the DPRK. Shunzhi reigned only 18 and abdicated at the age of 24. So Shunzhi died of illness, or did he see through the world of mortals because of the death of Dong E Fei and become a monk in Wutai Mountain? This left a mystery to history. Dong E Fei and Dong Xiaowan were buried in the Qing Dongling after their death. He was accompanied by two empresses, one of whom was Dong E Fei, whom Shunzhi loved deeply. After the death of Dong E Fei, she was named "filial piety, filial piety, filial piety, filial piety, filial piety, filial piety". It is not difficult to see Shunzhi's deep affection for her from the title full of praise. Later, some people said that Dong Xiaowan was the favorite Dong E Fei of Shunzhi, so are Dong E Fei and Dong Xiaowan the same person? Folklore: Dong Xiaowan, Princess of Shunzhi, the first story we want to tell begins with Dong Xiaowan's life experience. In the late Ming Dynasty, there were "eight famous prostitutes" and "four sons" in Jiangnan. At that time, the eight famous prostitutes were called "Eight Wonders of Qinhuai", and Dong Xiaowan was one of them. "Quadruplets" refer to Fang Yizhi, Hou Fangyu, Chen Zhenhui and Mao Xiang. Legend has it that when the Qing army went south, Dong Xiaowan was snatched away by Hong Chengchou, the governor of Jiangnan, and presented to Shunzhi. Shunzhi saw Dong Xiaowan happy, and their feelings deepened rapidly. Shunzhi first canonized Dong Xiaowan as a princess, and then made him an imperial concubine, so a generation of famous prostitutes became the princess of Dong Eshi. But in sourdrang dowager's view, if the feelings of Shunzhi continue to develop, it will ruin the state affairs. So in the name of learning Buddhism, she sent Dong Xiaowan to yuquan temple, Xishan. After Dong Xiaowan was sent away, Shunzhi still tried every means to date Dong Xiaowan, and repeatedly threatened the Queen Mother that if anything happened to Dong Xiaowan, he would never be emperor again. Later, Xiaozhuang designed to burn yuquan temple and lied that Dong Xiaowan was burned to death. Shunzhi was miserable, and he became addicted to Buddhism. One day, during meditation, Shunzhi saw Dong Xiaowan appear in Wutai Mountain, so he resolutely gave up the throne and came to Wutai Mountain, built three straw houses, and became a monk from then on. After his third son, Michelle Ye, succeeded to the throne as Emperor Kangxi, it is said that he went to Wutai Mountain to see his father several times in the name of pilgrimages, but Shunzhi did not recognize Kangxi at all. Kangxi wrote the poem "Manjusri exists, but ghosts and gods know it" on the temple wall. The story sounds very touching. If so, then Dong Xiaowan and Dong Fei in history are the same person. Historical Story: The Love between Dong Xiaowan and Mammoth Now, I will tell you the second story. Mao Xiang, one of the "four sons" in Jiangnan, was a famous writer in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. In the 12th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (AD 1639), he went to Du Nan (now Nanjing) to take the imperial examination. Fang Yizhi and Hou Fangyu praised Dong Xiaowan, calling her a "gifted scholar and beautiful woman". Under their introduction, Mao Xiang was able to find out about Dong Xiaowan. I haven't seen Dong Xiaowan for the first time. The second time, when Mao Xiang saw Dong Xiaowan coming along the winding corridor accompanied by the nanny, he couldn't help but sigh: "The fragrance is beautiful and the charm is natural." Dong Xiaowan, who was only 16 years old at that time, didn't say a word. Three years later, with the help of friends, especially through the money redeemed by Liu He, one of the "eight famous prostitutes", Mao Xiang finally redeemed Dong Xiaowan at the price of 3,200 silver. After Dong Xiaowan married Mao Xiang, he came to Maojia Water Painting Garden in Rugao, Jiangsu Province, and lived a quiet life with Mao Xiang's family. But it soon caught up with the troubled times in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and Mao Xiang's family fled and was displaced. In the next five years, he was seriously ill three times, and all of them were saved by Dong Xiaowan's careful care. However, the tiring life eventually swallowed up Dong Xiaowan's young life. Mao Xiang later recalled that Xiaowan was "as thin as wax and as weak as firewood ..." On the second day of the first month of the eighth year of Shunzhi, that is, 165 1 year, 1 year, Dong Xiaowan died at the home of Meiying 'an in Shuihui Garden at the age of 28. Truth: Dong Xiaowan is not the story of Dong E Fei about Dong Xiaowan. We can also find some clues from the "Poems of Mammoth" handed down from generation to generation. Among them, in Memories of Mei Ying 'an, Mao Xiang recalled the process of his acquaintance, acquaintance, love and married life with Dong Xiaowan. We can see two points from this article: First, after Dong Xiaowan and Mao Xiang got married, they never separated, so Dong Xiaowan could no longer be Shunzhi's concubine in the palace. The second point: Dong Xiaowan and Mao Xiang met in the 12th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty, when Dong Xiaowan 16 years old and the emperor shunzhi was only two years old. Three years later, when Dong Xiaowan 19 married the mammoth, Shunzhi was only 5 years old. The emperor shunzhi 14 years, Dong Xiaowan died. It can be inferred from the above two points that Dong Xiaowan and Dong E Fei, who is deeply loved by the emperor shunzhi, are simply two people. The emperor shunzhi and Dong E Fei's life story. Who is Dong E Fei? According to Biographies of Concubines in the Draft of Qing Dynasty, Dong Eshi (that is, Dong E Fei) is the daughter of the Minister of the Interior, E Shuo. In the year of Dong Xiaowan's death, Dong Eshi, a native of Liaoning, was 13 years old. According to textual research, it was selected in the tenth year of Shunzhi and assigned to Prince Xiang. The next year, I married Prince Xiang, who was 16 years old and Prince Xiang 14 years old. Prince Xiang, whose real name is Baimu Bogor, is the first 1 1 son of Huang Taiji and the half-brother of Shunzhi. So, how did Dong Eshi become Shunzhi's concubine? According to the notes of Tang Ruowang, a German missionary who worked in the palace at that time, "the emperor shunzhi fell in love with the wife of a Manchu soldier. When the soldier reprimanded his wife for this, Shunzhi heard about it and slapped him in the face. The soldier died of anger. The emperor shunzhi put the soldier's wife in the palace and made her an imperial concubine. " Tang Ruowang said that Manchu soldier was the prince of Xiang. As can be seen from The Jade Butterfly, Prince Xiang was only 16 years old when he died. In August this year, Shunzhi announced the establishment of Dong Eshi as a princess. He asked the Ministry of Rites to choose an auspicious day to hold the ceremony, and appointed the Minister of the Interior, Ao Bai, to tell the prince about his sacrifice. After all, Prince Xiang's bones are not cold, so Shunzhi is still guilty! After Dong Eshi entered the palace, he lived in Chenggan Palace. In August of the 13th year of Shunzhi, Dong Eshi was made a virtuous princess. After more than a month, Shunzhi prepared to make her an "imperial princess", ranking second only to the queen. The ceremony was held on the sixth day of December that year. Shunzhi 19 years old, Dong Efei 18 years old. The imperial edict conferring Dong E Fei as the imperial concubine is kept in the First Historical Archives of China. As a rule, the emperor will only send letters to the world on the gift of canonizing the queen. Dong E-fei enjoys this special courtesy, which shows that she has received unusual favor from Shunzhi. After Dong Eshi entered the palace, his feelings for Shunzhi increased day by day. Later, Shunzhi recalled in Farewell to the Queen: In the next dynasty, Dong E Fei always arranged her own meals, and she had to taste them first when they were ready. Dong Efei accompanied him all the time when he was marking the papers. What is even more rare is that she often persuades Shunzhi to be persuasive in handling government affairs and to be cautious in hearing cases. Even palace eunuchs often intercede for them when they make mistakes. On the seventh day of April in the fourteenth year of Shunzhi, Dong E Fei gave birth to a boy, ranking fourth. With the birth of a newborn, the complicated political struggle in the harem of the Qing Dynasty became more cruel. Huang Taiji, Shunzhi's father, has married five queens and concubines, including sourdrang queen, all of whom are Mongolians. The first queen of Shunzhi was sourdrang dowager's niece, and she was demoted to a quiet princess after ten years of Shunzhi. The second queen of Shunzhi is Xiao Zhuang's granddaughter, and Shunzhi wants to abolish her. Because Shunzhi loved Dong E Fei of Manchu descent wholeheartedly, Queen Mother Xiao Zhuang was jealous of Dong E Fei. When Princess Dong was in labor, Xiaozhuang moved to Nanyuan, 20 miles outside Yongdingmen, Beijing, where the royal winter hunting parade was held. Shortly after Dong E Fei gave birth to the Prince, Xiaozhuang sent a message to Dong E Fei on the grounds of poor health, asking her to wait on Nanyuan. After delivery, Princess Dong dragged her weak body to Nanyuan to take care of Xiaozhuang, and her health was seriously affected. More unfortunately, the newborn child died suddenly within 300 days. This is a fatal blow to Dong Efei. From then on, she couldn't afford to get sick, struggled for three years, and finally died in Chenggan Palace in the seventeenth year of Shunzhi, at the age of 22. The death of Dong E Fei and the mystery of Shunzhi becoming a monk made Shunzhi very sad. Two days after the death of Princess Dong E, she was named "the Empress of Duan Jing, a filial piety and virtuous Ren Xuan" in Shunzhi posthumous title, and wrote a 4,000-word "Queen of Duan Jing" in her own handwriting to mourn her beloved wife. After Shunzhi sent his beloved princess away, he chose Pure Land Home! In fact, Shunzhi did not suddenly want to become a monk. According to the research of historian Chen Yuan, Shunzhi's enlightenment to Buddhism began with a generation of eminent monk Han Pucong. In the tenth year of Shunzhi, the monk entered the palace, and his explanation of Buddhism deeply touched Shunzhi. On the recommendation of Han Pucong, monks Yulin and Yan Xisen successively went to the palace to give lectures. Shunzhi began to believe in Buddhism, and his dharma name was "Xing Chi". One month after his beloved princess was cremated, Emperor Xing Chi invited Yan Xisen to hold a hair-cleaning ceremony for himself. The emperor became a monk and shocked the ruling and opposition parties. Under the pressure of Xiaozhuang, Yan Xisen's master Yulin tied him up and set up dry wood to burn in public. At this moment, there was an urgent news that Shunzhi decided to keep his hair and customs and never become a monk again. Shunzhi failed to become a monk. Three months later, when he fell ill, he sent Wu, his personal attendant, to Benjamin Zhong Temple to cut his hair and become a monk. Five days later, with infinite melancholy, Shunzhi closed his eyes in hall of mental cultivation, the Forbidden City. He was only 24 years old and died of smallpox. Shunzhi died just over three months after Dong E Fei died.
