"Meng Jiangnu sends cold clothes" is one of the four ancient folk legends in China, one of the four ancient folk love legends in China and one of the most popular folk legends in China. It has always been loved by people, including classics, orchestral music and drama performances. Until today, it has been put on the screen and spread by various media. It is almost a household name, and it is known to all women and children.

According to legend, a family named Meng planted a kind of melon in the Qin Dynasty, and the seedlings climbed along the wall to Jiang's house and produced melons. When a melon is ripe, a melon scores two houses! When I opened it, I found a white and fat little girl in it, so I named her Meng Jiangnv. Meng Jiangnv has grown up and is an old villager in Fiona Fang. Everyone knows that she is a clever girl who can play the piano, write poems and articles. The old couple regarded her as the apple of their eye. In a blink of an eye, more than ten years have passed. The old man chose a son-in-law named Fan Qiliang for Meng Jiangnv, who has now grown up, and chose a good day to get married. Unforeseen things happened. On their wedding day, the bride and groom will pay their respects. Suddenly, they broke into several courtiers from outside, scrambling to regard the groom Fan Qiliang as a civilian worker. It turned out that at that time, because Qin Shihuang dispatched a large number of civilian workers all over the country to build the Great Wall and worked day and night, countless civilian workers were exhausted and starved to death. In order to speed up the progress of the project, they caught civilian workers everywhere to supplement it, and Fan Qiliang was also sent as a civilian worker to repair the Great Wall. This trip is obviously the opposite. Meng Jiangnu cries all day and looks forward to it! But I have been eagerly looking forward to it for a year. Not only did people not expect it, but no news came. Meng Jiangnv was really worried, so she spent several nights making warm clothes for her husband and went to the Great Wall to find her husband herself. Seeing her stubbornness, her parents couldn't stop her and agreed. Meng Jiangnu packed her bags, bid farewell to her parents, embarked on a journey, and vowed never to go home until she found her husband. When I arrived at the Great Wall and learned that my husband had died, I cried my eyes out at the 800-mile Great Wall. In addition, there are legends such as "Back Garden and Husband", "Qin Shihuang plays Meng" and "Jiang Meng swims in the sea".

In fact, Meng Jiangnv is a real person. The earliest known Mengjiangnv Temple was built in the Northern Song Dynasty, and the inscriptions of Jiangnv Temple reconstructed in the Northern Song Dynasty were found in Xu Shui, Hebei Province and Tongchuan, Shaanxi Province. Many local chronicles describe Meng Jiangnv as a native, and Linzi, Tongguan (Tongchuan), An Su (Xu Shui), Shanhaiguan and Tongguan all have the tombs of Meng Jiangnv.

The story of Meng Jiangnv took place in Qi State. Qi is a vassal state. Anyone who has read the history of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty knows that Meng is also the eldest daughter of Qi. Her story was first seen in Zuo Zhuan. Jiang Meng was the wife of Qi Liang, a general of the State of Qi, who died in Jun 'an in 549 BC. Qi Zhuanggong met Jiang Meng in the suburbs and expressed his condolences to her. Jiang Meng thought that the countryside was not a place for mourning and refused to accept it, so Zhuang Gong went to her house to offer condolences. Besides being polite, Jiang Meng also recorded that he was good at crying. Chunyu Kun said: "It has become a national custom for the wife of Qi Liang to cry her husband." Jiang Meng's cry tune was born in Qi. In the Western Han Dynasty, it was recorded that Meng Jiangnv "cried for her husband's death and the city collapsed" (Liu Xiang's "Shuo Yuan" and "Biography of Lienv"). As for where wailing wall is, although there are different opinions about Cheng Ju, Qi Liang and Liang Shan, they are all in one place, not the Great Wall of Wan Li in Qin Dynasty. According to Li Daoyuan's Notes on Water Classics, it was Cheng Ju that Meng Jiangnu cried and collapsed. About the Tang Dynasty, this theme evolved into the story of Meng Jiangnu's crying and collapsing the Great Wall in Wan Li, and it was today's humble appearance. Zhou moved the story to Yan State, where he was named Meng Zhongzi and Qi Liang became Qi Liang. Qi Liang strayed into Meng Chao's backyard to avoid the battle of building a city. Meng Nv Tadao is taking a bath. The ancient people had a very strong concept of chastity, and only the husband could see their daughter's body, so they got married. Later, Qi Liang returned to the site of the Great Wall and was executed and buried under it. So Zhong Zi went all the way to find her husband, cried and collapsed the Great Wall, sprinkled blood on many bones to examine them, and finally got her husband's body. In ancient times, there were frequent wars and heavy corvees, and it was a traditional theme to levy a husband and divorce a woman. Chen Lin wrote "Drinking Horses in the Great Wall Cave" at the end of the Han Dynasty: "Drinking Horses in the Great Wall Cave, Shui Han hurts the bones of horses. When you claim to be an official of the Great Wall, don't stay in Taiyuan ... You can't see the Great Wall alone, and the bones of the deceased lean against each other? " Since then, poets of all ages have praised it. The Wife of Qi Liang written by Guan Xiu, a monk in the Tang Dynasty, actually recited Meng Jiangnv's Crying for the Great Wall. Later, many poets wrote this theme, which contributed to the widespread spread of this story. Since the Yuan Dynasty, the story of Meng Jiangnv has been put on the stage. Tao's Record of Dropping out of Farming in Nancun and Zhong Sicheng's Record of Ghosts both recorded this point. In these operas, Jiang Meng was transformed into Meng Jiangnu, and Qi Liang also gave birth to Qi Liang, Fan Qiliang, Wan Qiliang, Fan Xilang, Fan Xilang, Wan Xiliang, Wan Xiliang and so on.

Fortunately, I collected Shucheng folk songs with my comrades in Shucheng County Cultural Center. Guo Xingcun, a 69-year-old man from Wenchong Village, Chunqiu Township, Shucheng County, sang a folk tune "Meng Jiangnv", which caught my attention. The exact words are as follows:

In the first month, plum blossoms are in full bloom, and every family celebrates the New Year. Husband and wife are reunited, and I am missing half the moon. In February, bluegrass is fragrant all over the mountain, so spring grass is sprouting. The bees buzzed on the flowers, which made Jiang Meng cry. Peach blossoms bloom in March, and two swallows hang their nests. How happy it is to come and go, Jiang Meng is alone. April is as white as frost, and the Great Wall is the most bitter for my husband. When I went home, I didn't see a piece of writing paper. Liu Hua in May is Duanyang, standing in front of the door watching Fu Lang. There are so many people coming and going that I can't see my husband Fan Qiliang. In June, the lotus grows in the pond, and the flood generally flows eastward. My aunt accompanied me to find my husband, and I died on the road. In July, mosquitoes thundered in Linghuaying Water Town. Mosquitoes would rather suck the blood of slaves than bite their husbands on the Great Wall. In August, osmanthus blossoms in the garden, and the lonely geese are covered with frost. A slave is as bitter as a lonely goose, and a mandarin duck is separated. In September, chrysanthemums are full of yellow and chrysanthemum is full of wine. Wing husband to eat wine, loving husband and wife are not paired. In October, the reed flowers float, and the frost vine vegetables wither. How cold it is on the Great Wall. Fu Nu is cold without clothes. Snowflakes were flying all over the sky in winter, and my husband never came back. I sent my warm clothes to my relatives, but I didn't see my husband die.

The fragrance of wintersweet in December reminds me of my parents at home. Last year, there were four people in the Spring Festival, but now there are fewer aunts, sisters and little Jiang Meng.

I think of my parents' tears, my eyes are moist and my cheeks are dripping. How hard it is to die, who will bear it?

After singing, the old man explained to us in detail: "I think this" Meng Jiangnv "is different from others' singing. The thirteen paragraphs have changed the story. "This ditty gave me several surprises: First, Meng Jiangnv sent warm clothes thousands of miles away, not alone, but accompanied by her aunt. During the journey, the wind and rain hit, the sun and the moon were cold, hungry and cold, and it was hard to walk. A flood generally struck, drowned her sister-in-law, and aggravated the sadness of the whole story. In the last paragraph, "When two (old) parents die, who will bear the responsibility? "The second named (old) parents are not Meng Jiangnv's parents, but Fan Qiliang's parents. From the penultimate paragraph, "There were four people during the Chinese New Year last year, but now there are fewer aunts and younger ones", there is evidence that Meng Jiangnv has lived with her in-laws and aunts since she married Fan Qiliang, which is different from the popular "Meng Jiangnv sent off her parents and sent cold clothes". Third, there are dreamy situations. In the ninth paragraph, it says, "Wing Fu is coming for wine". Fan Qiliang was so tired that he starved to death in the Great Wall and had no leisure to eat chrysanthemum wine at home. This is Jiang Meng's illusion. She looked forward to being reunited with her husband all day and worried about his safety. As we all know, the appearance of "chrysanthemum" is not only a rendering of the cold atmosphere in autumn, but also a symbol of "longevity" in the traditional sense. I think Meng Jiangnv's memory of "Chrysanthemum" carving wine at this moment is both a seasonal reason and a good wish. Fourth, it has local characteristics. For example, in the second paragraph, "Orchids are everywhere in Shucheng", and the famous specialty tea "Little Orchid" is famous all over the world. The words "Ming", "Xing" and "Man" in the third paragraph are all pronounced in dialects, so they can rhyme. The tenth paragraph, "Reed flowers float, frost vine vegetables wither" and "vine vegetables (referring to lentils)" are all local proverbs. Fifth, set the scene in the scene and write the sadness outside. The last paragraph mentioned the support for in-laws, which not only played the role of induction and summary, but also expanded from love tragedy to family tragedy, and built a big, strange, big and shocking realm of "broken bones crying blood, heaven and earth singing together, mountains and rivers crying together".
