Colette (1873- 1945), whose original name was Sidoni-Gabrielle Colette, was not only a great French writer in the first half of the 20th century, but also a journalist, actor, playwright and drama critic. She has created 50 literary works reflecting French social life, which are still popular and widely circulated. Her representative novels mainly include Crotina at School, Crotina after Marriage, Wandering Actress, Cherie Baby, Date of Birth, Duet, Gigi and other Crotina series. She also created a large number of prose works, such as duo, living animals, flowers and so on. 1945, she was elected as a member of the selection committee of Gonger Literature Award, and four years later, she was elected as the chairman of the selection committee. Colette died in Paris on August 3, 1954, and the French government held a grand state funeral for her.
