Summer is still hot, like an autumn tiger.
Autumn tiger phenomenon
The phrase "it's still hot in summer" actually means that it will be hot for a while after the solar term in summer, and autumn will not drop suddenly. "Like autumn tiger" refers to a kind of regenerative weather after summer, called autumn tiger. Meteorology means that the highest temperature is above 35℃ for five consecutive days after the summer solar term. The reason for this kind of weather is that the subtropical high retreating from the south once again controls the Jianghuai and its nearby areas, resulting in many sunny days, strong solar radiation, and hot weather reappearing, so people feel sultry and uncomfortable, so they are called "autumn tigers". The hot summer lasts until mid-September, so there will be an autumn tiger period after the hot summer.
