Does the FSI engine have a throttle?
If you mean the Volkswagen FSI engine, I can only say that of course there is. In fact, every engine has a throttle. The so-called accelerator pedal does not control fuel injection, but actually controls the throttle opening, which represents the engine load, so there is no engine without throttle. Throttle and valve are important parts of the whole valve train of the engine. Some people may say that the valve train is not a throttle, but in fact the throttle is equivalent to the main switch of the whole mechanism. When the throttle valve is completely closed, it is impossible for the valve mechanism to operate without air entering.
The highlight of FSI should be multi-point and segmented injection in cylinder, and fuel mixing can better reflect the control of gas mixing by computer control than intake manifold mixing. To achieve better atomization effect, of course, this requires higher injection pressure, good air pulse and reasonable injection position.
In the closed-loop control of multi-point injection, the fuel injection signal should be determined by the signals of European air flowmeter, crankshaft position and camshaft position. The front oxygen sensor, also known as the air-fuel ratio sensor, is fed back together with the knock sensor.
