Pedicels longer than bracts, jointed, perianth 5-parted, white or reddish, perianth segments elliptic, 3-4 mm long; Stamens 8, shorter than perianth, anthers reddish; Style 3, stigma capitate.
Achene is ovoid, with three sharp edges, tapering at the top, 5-6 mm long, dark brown and dull, longer than persistent perianth, and bears fruit in June 6- 10/0.
