1. Before taking the spark plug out of the engine cylinder, be sure to wipe off the dust and oil stains around the spark plug to prevent these dust and oil stains from "taking the opportunity" to enter the cylinder when taking out the spark plug. After removing the spark plug, cover the installation hole of the spark plug to prevent foreign objects from falling into the cylinder.

2. After removing the spark plug, first scrape off the dirt and carbon deposit on the spark plug with a knife or scrap saw (if the dirt and carbon deposit are not easy to scrape, you can burn the spark plug first. Be careful not to use strong fire to avoid burning the insulating material of the spark plug. When the dirt and carbon deposits are cleaned, clean them with gasoline and dry them.

3. Before reinstalling the spark plug, check the electrode gap of the spark plug, which should meet the specified value of the spark plug gap of the corresponding model. If the spark plug electrode gap does not meet the requirements, the side electrode of the spark plug can be adjusted by wooden instruments, and generally the middle electrode of the spark plug should not be moved to avoid damaging the insulator of the spark plug.
