Why does the car smell of gasoline when it is turned off?
Gasoline vapor will be directly discharged into the atmosphere along the damaged part, resulting in a strong gasoline smell inside the car. However, if the pipeline leaks oil at this time, it will cause air to enter the engine intake instead of fuel vapor, which will inevitably cause the engine mixture to be too lean, which will lead to the difficulty in starting.
It may also be caused by a problem with the solenoid valve of the carbon canister. If the solenoid valve is always closed, the gasoline vapor in the carbon canister will accumulate more and more, eventually filling the whole carbon canister, and the remaining gasoline vapor can only escape into the atmosphere, polluting the environment and wasting fuel.
If the fuel nozzle leaks oil, it will also lead to this phenomenon. According to the above situation, it is recommended to go to 4S shop or repair shop for on-site inspection.
