Where is the installation position of the throttle position sensor?

The throttle position sensor is installed on the throttle body. With the change of throttle opening and the rotation of throttle shaft, the brush in the sensor slides or the guide cam rotates, which converts the angle signal of throttle opening into an electrical signal and sends it to ECU. Linear output throttle position sensor is usually used in automobiles.

On the one hand, the throttle position sensor is used to detect the throttle opening as a reference signal of engine load, on the other hand, it reflects the speed of throttle opening change, thus reflecting the driver's driving intention. For the electronic control system of automatic transmission, the throttle position sensor is mainly used to detect the throttle opening, reflect the engine load and serve as an important signal to control the shift timing.

Adjustment steps and methods of throttle position sensor:

1. Measure the voltage between the throttle position sensor signal line and the ground wire with a multimeter DC voltage block;

2. Set the throttle to idle speed, turn on the ignition switch and observe the reading of multimeter;

3. If the throttle position sensor cannot provide the specified voltage signal, loosen the fixing screw of the throttle position sensor and rotate the sensor housing until the voltmeter displays the specified voltage signal;

4. Fix the throttle position sensor in the adjusted position;
