Geomorphological characteristics of Xinjiang

Altai Mountain, Tianshan Mountain, Kunlun Mountain, Junggar Basin and Tarim Basin constitute the basic outline of the newly photographed landform (commonly known as: three mountains and two basins). The geological structure and climatic conditions in Xinjiang are complex, and the landforms can be mainly divided into lava landforms, glacier landforms, periglacial landforms, flowing water landforms, loess landforms, arid landforms, aeolian landforms and lake landforms, which are characterized by the same trend of mountain systems and deep faults, great difference in mountain basin height difference, obvious layered landforms in mountainous areas, many inter-mountain basins and large desert areas, different vertical zoning of climatic landforms in various mountainous areas, and a circular combination of landforms.
