Extended data:

The difference between China and Korea.

Many customs of China Dragon Boat Festival, such as eating zongzi, calamus, drinking realgar wine, wearing a purse, riding with five poisons, tying colorful wisps, rowing dragon boats and commemorating Qu Yuan, do not exist in Korean Dragon Boat Festival customs at all.

The Dragon Boat Festival in Gangneung, South Korea, also contains rich contents, with sacrifices, performances and entertainment as the main contents. Among them, the sacrificial ceremony preserved the complete form and content, which can be said to be the core of gangneung danoje festival.

The most important difference is that gangneung danoje festival does not refer to a certain time and a certain festival. This is very different from our traditional Dragon Boat Festival. Only Gangneung Dragon Boat Festival takes place in gangneung danoje festival.

In September 2009, UNESCO formally considered and approved the inclusion of China Dragon Boat Festival in the world intangible cultural heritage, becoming the first festival in China to be selected as the world intangible cultural heritage.
