Little rickshaw driver. Camel Xiangzi is a novel written by Lao She (Shu Qingchun, 1899- 1966). In this novel, Pony's grandfather, like Xiangzi, is an ordinary coachman, Pony is a small rickshaw driver, naive and strong, but later died of hunger and cold. Camel Xiangzi describes the tragic fate of rickshaw pullers during the warlord scuffle in the 1920s. Xiangzi was a representative of the working people in the old society.
