The normal value of the intake pressure sensor is between 40 and 80 kPa, and if the vehicle is idling, the normal value of the intake pressure is between 27 and 30 kPa.

The intake pressure sensor is located in the engine room, connected to the intake manifold through a vacuum tube, or directly installed on the intake manifold behind the throttle. It measures the absolute pressure of the intake manifold behind the throttle. It detects the change of absolute pressure in the manifold according to the engine speed and load, and then converts it into signal voltage and sends it to ECU. The ECU controls the basic fuel injection quantity according to the signal voltage. When the engine is working, the intake manifold pressure will be lower than the atmospheric pressure due to the suction force generated by the downward movement of the piston in the intake stroke.

The more accurate intake manifold pressure is the absolute intake manifold pressure, which will be affected by throttle opening, engine speed and sealing performance:

1. Throttle opening: The smaller the throttle opening, the greater the suction effect of the piston, the greater the suction of the intake manifold, the greater the vacuum degree and the lower the intake pipe pressure;

2. Engine speed: The higher the engine speed, the greater the suction effect of the piston, the greater the suction force of the intake manifold, the greater the vacuum degree and the lower the pressure of the intake manifold;
