Bijie City is a typical karst mountain area. It is located in the northwest of Guizhou Province, between east longitude105 36 ′-106 43 ′ and north latitude 26 21′-27 46 ′, bordering Zunyi, Guiyang, Anshun and Liupanshui in the east and south, and Yunnan and Sichuan in the west and north. It is located in the inclined zone of the transition from the East Yunnan Plateau to the Central Plains of Guizhou. The territory is mountainous, high in the west and low in the east, with an average elevation of 1400 meters. The highest point is Hezhang Jiucaiping, 2900.6 meters, the highest point in the province, and the lowest elevation is 457 meters. The territory of high mountains and steep slopes, overlapping peaks, deep valleys, broken land. The total area of the whole region is 26,844.5 square kilometers, and the plateau mountains account for 93.3%, belonging to the Yangtze River basin and the Pearl River basin. The Yangtze River basin accounts for 95.38% and the Pearl River basin accounts for 4.62%, which is one of the important birthplaces of Wujiang River, Chishui River and Beipanjiang River. Most areas in Bijie belong to the warm, cool and humid monsoon climate in the north subtropical zone, with moderate water and heat resources. Annual average sunshine hours 1101.8-1780.2 hours, annual average temperature 105- 15.0℃,1monthly average temperature/kloc. The annual average precipitation is 848.6- 1394.4 mm, with a large monthly variability, and about 70% of the precipitation is concentrated in May-September. The frost-free period is 205-297 days. The territory is beautiful, the valley is quiet, the scenery is beautiful, there is no heat in summer, no cold in winter, abundant rainfall and suitable climate.
