Lushunkou District belongs to Dalian, Liaoning Province, and is located at the southernmost tip of Liaodong Peninsula.

Lushunkou District, alias Shizikou, belongs to Dalian City, Liaoning Province. It is located at the southernmost tip of Liaodong Peninsula, bordering the Yellow Sea in the south and southeast, facing the Shandong Peninsula across the sea and adjacent to the Korean Peninsula across the sea. The west and northwest are adjacent to the Bohai Sea, separated only by a strip of water from Tianjin Xingang, comparable to Beidaihe seaside.

Lushunkou has a long history. Jin Dynasty called Ma Jinshi, Tang Dynasty called Li Du Town, and Yuan Dynasty called Lion's Mouth. In the fourth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang sent two generals, Ma Yun and Wang Ye, to guard Liaodong by boat from Shandong. Because of the smooth sailing at sea, Shizikou was renamed Lushunkou, which has been with this unique seaside town for more than 600 years.
