Japanese encephalitis (hereinafter referred to as Japanese encephalitis) is spread by mosquitoes, mostly in summer and autumn. Clinical sudden onset, high fever, disturbance of consciousness, convulsion, tonic spasm, meningeal irritation and other symptoms. Severe patients often have sequelae after illness.

How to deal with an emergency

■ If symptoms such as acute onset, high fever, headache, lethargy, nausea and vomiting, coma, convulsion or respiratory failure, irregular respiratory rhythm are found, they should be sent to the hospital immediately.

■ Report to the health and epidemic prevention department in time.

■ Don't sleep outdoors in summer nights. Close the doors and windows indoors. It is best to set mosquito nets or light mosquito coils to prevent being bitten by sick mosquitoes.

Special tips

■ It is found that the neck is stiff and the pupil is slow to respond to light, which may be the early stage of JE; Systemic convulsion, tonic spasm and even flaccid paralysis are serious features of Japanese encephalitis.

■/KLOC-Children under 0/0 should be vaccinated with Japanese encephalitis vaccine in time.

■ Take necessary mosquito control measures.
