Guangzhou's New Year's Day fireworks and firecrackers in 2023: 9 districts including Yuexiu, Liwan, Haizhu, Tianhe, Baiyun, Huangpu, Huadu, Panyu and Nansha are prohibited from being set off in the whole city. Fireworks and firecrackers can be set off in Conghua District and Zengcheng District of Guangzhou.

Sales and release are prohibited in the main urban area and surrounding areas of Conghua District, specifically the following areas: Xincheng Community, Inner City Community, Dongcheng Community, Xincun Community, Xining Community, Zhongtian Community, Fengyi Community, Fu Qian Community, Zhen 'an Community, Yuning Community, Liyuan Community, Qingyun Community, Chengxi Community, Bixi Community, Binjiang South Community, Jianyunxi Community, Tuanxing Village and Chengnan Village.
