Because the car is used for a long time, the throttle will become dirty, and a layer of sludge and dirt will be attached to itself and the inner wall of the nearby airway, which is called carbon deposition. The main symptoms of dirty automobile throttle are engine jitter, unstable idle speed and difficulty in starting a cold car. There are many reasons for dirty throttle valve, mainly caused by the condensation and accumulation of oil vapor caused by long-term back diffusion of crankshaft ventilation pipe or the escape of exhaust gas and mixed gas from cylinder. In addition, dust and impurities may leak from the air filter. If the car has slow acceleration response, unstable idle speed and jitter, it means that the throttle valve is dirty and needs to be cleaned in time.

Generally speaking, it is recommended to clean the throttle every 20,000 kilometers. However, if the driving environment is good and there is no idling jitter, it can be cleaned every 50,000 kilometers. There are two ways to clean the throttle oil, one is to open it and the other is not to open it. If the throttle valve is not very dirty, it can be cleaned directly with cleaning agent without disassembly; If it is dirty, it needs to be taken apart and cleaned. Although it is troublesome, the effect is better.

It should be noted that the electronic throttle needs to use a special driving computer to adjust the throttle opening after cleaning the throttle. Because the throttle is squeezed by carbon deposit, the opening of the throttle will expand accordingly. After cleaning, if it is not reset, the throttle opening will remain in the state before carbon deposition, and the air intake will increase, which will lead to unstable idle speed, too high speed and increased engine fuel consumption. However, for the mechanical cable throttle, it will recover itself after driving 10 km after cleaning the throttle.
