What months is the typhoon season?

The typhoon season is from May to September every year, and most typhoons are concentrated in summer and autumn. The proportion of typhoons in these two seasons is 42% each, while that in winter and spring is only 8% each. The occurrence of typhoon needs huge energy. In summer, the high temperature, high humidity and abundant energy on the ocean are conducive to the occurrence of typhoons, while in winter, it is the opposite, so typhoons are more in summer and less in winter.

Typhoon is a kind of tropical cyclone. Tropical cyclone is a low-pressure vortex that occurs on the surface of tropical or subtropical ocean, and it is a powerful and profound tropical weather system. In China, tropical cyclones in the South China Sea and the Northwest Pacific are classified into six grades according to the maximum average wind force near the center of the bottom layer, and the wind force near the center reaches 12 or above, which is collectively called typhoon.

There are three basic conditions for the formation of typhoon, one is energy, the sea water temperature is above 26-27℃, the other is suitable environment, intertropical convergence zone, and the third is the deviation of the earth's rotation. Third, it is the same all year round. The other two conditions are obviously different.
