Where do most typhoons form? In which season was it formed?
Most typhoons are formed in the vast northwest Pacific Ocean, and the South China Sea and Beibu Gulf are also good places to breed typhoons. Typhoons mostly occur in summer and autumn, among which there are relatively many typhoons in early autumn, and typhoons with high intensity are generally more in this season. Strong typhoons generated in the northwest Pacific in summer and early autumn may bring strong storms and storm surges to the southeast coast of China and Taiwan Province Province. Tropical storms with weak intensity in summer may have more advantages than disadvantages. Typhoons in late autumn are generally rotating disks, some of which gradually weaken when landing in Japan and are absorbed by the westerlies, and some of them change from CISK mechanism to baroclinic at high latitudes, becoming temperate cyclones with slightly weaker intensity but wider range. In winter, there are few typhoons at or above 20 north latitude, but tropical disturbances in the South China Sea still emerge one after another, and some may develop into typhoons landing in Hainan, Vietnam and other areas. Nitan in 2009 is a classic that surpassed Taiwan Province in winter.
