What is the function of the throttle position sensor?

The throttle position sensor is used as a sensor to monitor the engine condition. 1. Its main purpose is to monitor whether the engine is in idle state or load state, acceleration state or deceleration state; 2. It is essentially a variable resistor and some switches, which are installed on the throttle body. Its rotating shaft is connected with the throttle valve and has two contacts: a fully open contact and an idling contact. When the throttle is in the idle position, the idle contact is closed and the idle state information is output to the computer. When the throttle is in other positions, the idle contact is opened, and the voltage information of different angles compared with the throttle is derived, and the computer can identify the engine load according to the information voltage value. According to the change rate of information voltage in a certain period of time, whether to accelerate or decelerate is identified. According to these working conditions, the computer can correct the fuel injection quantity or cut off the fuel. It has two contacts, namely, no-load contact (IDL) and full-load contact (PSW). A cam coaxial with the throttle valve controls the opening and closing of two switch contacts.
