Traditional Culture Encyclopedia - The 24 Solar Terms - Yuanxiao rice porridge
Yuanxiao rice porridge
I remember when I was seven or eight years old, my parents were not at home during the Spring Festival. I don't remember where they went at that time. I was at home with my grandparents. Is it the third or fourth day? Or the fifth and sixth day, I don't like to eat jiaozi, and I pester my grandmother to eat Yuanxiao in the morning.
Grandma put jiaozi on the table and brought a pot of rice porridge. I feel suspicious. I stirred it with a spoon, and the chubby big circle was mixed in the rice porridge, and one was fished out, still stained with rice grains. Grandma was afraid that I would burn, so she quickly gave me a bowl. I scooped one with a spoon and blew it. I can't wait to bite it off. It is full of golden roses, mixed with the taste of rice. It tastes great! After eating red bean paste and black sesame seeds, they all have a unique taste of rice. What a satisfying breakfast!
Now there are fewer Lantern Festivals, and supermarkets are all in jiaozi. I often add jiaozi when I cook rice porridge. Mr. Wang knows my taste and will do the same.
The delicious breakfast when I was seven or eight years old is a memory that I will never forget, and it will always be worth remembering.
