Brief introduction of Hegang

Hegang is located in the northeast of Heilongjiang Province, the transition zone from Xiaoxing 'anling to Sanjiang Plain, with a continental monsoon climate in the middle temperate zone. The northwest is hilly and the southeast is the western edge of Sanjiang Plain. Russia borders Heilongjiang in the north, Jiamusi in the southeast of Songhua River, and Yichun in Xiaoxing 'anling in the west. Hegang covers an area of 14784 square kilometers, governs two border counties of Luobei and Suibin, and six municipal districts of Xiangyang, Gongnong, Nanshan, Xingshan, Xing 'an and Dongshan, with a population of 1.09 million. Hegang is one of the important coal bases in China and an important old industrial base in Northeast China. Jiahe Railway passes through Hegang, and Heda, Haruo and He Yi highways are the main trunk highways.
