How often does the throttle of Southeast DX3 need to be cleaned?

The electronic throttle mainly uses the throttle position sensor to control the throttle opening according to the energy required by the engine, so as to adjust the intake air.

How long the throttle will be dirty depends on the quality of the air filter, the brand and quality of the engine oil, the condition of the driving section, the temperature, the working temperature of the engine, driving habits and so on. Even for individuals, it is impossible to determine the time to clean the throttle with a fixed number of kilometers. The interval between cleaning the throttle for the first time in a new car is the longest. Later, due to the continuous condensation of oil and gas in the crankcase ventilation pipe and intake port, the cleaning frequency will increase, and different weather conditions will also affect the dirty speed of the throttle.

When cleaning the throttle valve, it is not necessary to disassemble it, but the sealing part of the inlet steam must be cleaned, and the idle motor must be disassembled for cleaning. There are advantages and disadvantages of cleaning nozzles by borrowing and disassembling. General maintenance stations recommend not to disassemble it to prevent other unnecessary waste, such as replacing the sealing ring or installing some other gaskets after disassembly, or delaying the owner's time due to oil leakage during disassembly.

After cleaning, the throttle valve will be initialized after installation according to the disassembly procedure. After cleaning the throttle, it needs to be initialized, because the computer has a memory function when adjusting the throttle opening, because there was sludge blockage in the past. In order to ensure the air intake, the computer will automatically adjust the throttle opening to make the air intake in a normal state.

But there is no sludge blockage after cleaning. If the throttle valve still maintains its previous opening, it will cause excessive intake air. As a result, the engine will shake when starting, and the acceleration will be weak, and the engine fault light may light up.

1. Remove air cleaner assembly.

2. Remove the throttle cable (mechanical cable throttle). First, screw the throttle control mechanism to the maximum position, pull it with the left hand, hold the throttle cable with the right hand, and take it out from the gap of the control mechanism. Then remove the cable from the accelerator cable bracket, take off the limit clamp and gasket and put them in a safe place. Finally, remove the accelerator cable bracket fixed on the throttle body.

3. Loosen the three fastening bolts on the throttle body with a suitable wrench and remove the throttle body.

4. Remove the sealing skirt at the joint of the throttle body and the air cleaner to prevent the cleaning agent from corroding the skirt and causing the skirt to expand and break. After removing the sealing apron, check for signs of aging and cracks.

5. Clean the throttle body.
