Is it a lunar calendar or a solar calendar? What do the 24 solar terms belong to?
The Gregorian calendar is a Gregorian calendar, which is formulated according to the running laws of the sun and the earth. Twenty-four solar terms conform to the laws of the sun and the earth. According to the laws of two solstices (summer solstice) and two vernal equinox (vernal equinox and autumnal equinox), every 15 degree of the ecliptic is regarded as a solar term. Therefore, the 24 solar terms completely correspond to the solar calendar, because there is a leap year, and the date is only one day apart.
The lunar calendar is based on the laws of the moon and the earth. There is a one-year gap between it and the revolution of the earth, which is made up by leap month. Therefore, the 24 solar terms belong to the solar calendar and do not conform to the lunar calendar.
The current lunar calendar is a combination of yin and yang, consisting of the new moon of the lunar calendar plus 24 solar terms, which can only correspond to the Gregorian calendar.
