When the EPC light is on, there may be insufficient engine jitter power and unstable idle speed.

Related knowledge: When the ignition switch is turned on for function check, the indicator light EPC will light up. If the indicator lights up while driving, it indicates that the engine power electronic control system is out of order. The engine must be checked immediately. Under normal circumstances, dirty throttle body, vacuum leakage of intake system, broken brake switch and untimely engine upgrade may all lead to EPC failure.

Fault phenomenon: EPC fault light is always on, indicating that the engine management system or electronic control is out of order, which is often accompanied by unstable idle speed of the vehicle or engine jitter during cold start.

Summary: There are two possibilities for EPC light to be on. First, the throttle is dirty and needs cleaning. In another case, the brake lights don't work. Replace the light bulb or check the brake switch and wiring. Also, due to the oil problem, the EPC fault light will also light up.
