What does phenology mean in common sense of solar terms?
"Seventy-two phenology" originated in the Yellow River valley, and it is the earliest calendar in China that combines astronomy, meteorology and phenology to guide agricultural activities. It takes 5 days as the waiting period, 365 days a year (average year) * * * 72 days. In order to correspond to the twenty-four solar terms, it is stipulated that three periods are one section (qi), seventy-two periods a year, and twenty-four solar terms. Every climate corresponds to a phenological phenomenon called phenology. The 72-hour period should include biological and abiotic classes, and biological classes are divided into animals and plants. Among them, animals wait for animals to start vibrating, singing, mating and migrating, plants wait for plants to germinate, blossom and bear fruit, and abiotic climate should begin to freeze, thaw and thunder. According to the vegetation ecology, the growth and changes of birds, animals, insects and fish, and the appearance and disappearance of other natural phenomena, the seventy-two climaxes reflect the changes and processes of climate and seasons, and contain the infinite wisdom of ancient working people. There are 24 solar terms in a year, and each solar term corresponds to three periods, namely, the initial period, the second period and the third period.
