How to connect the throttle line of Chevrolet New Sail?

1, the throttle position sensor (TPS) is a sensor used to monitor the throttle position in internal combustion engines. The sensor is usually a variable resistor, which produces an output voltage proportional to the position of the throttle plate. Engine management systems usually use this voltage to control fuel injection, ignition timing and other engine parameters.

2.TPS is usually a potentiometer, which generates voltage according to the position of the throttle. The voltage is sent to the ECU, which uses the voltage for calculation. Rotating potentiometers have a wide range of applications, from volume control of stereo equipment to sensors used to determine the air-fuel mixture in engines. In each case, the resistance of the potentiometer changes as the cursor moves along the resistance track.

3. The potentiometer consists of three wires: ground wire, thermal power supply and signal wire (wiper). Potentiometers are usually connected as part of a voltage dividing circuit. One end of the voltage divider is grounded and the other end is connected to a higher voltage. The signal line is connected with the vehicle-mounted computer. When the cursor moves along the path of the resistor, it changes the amount of voltage applied to the element. TPS reports this information to the engine control unit (ECU) so that it can adjust the air/fuel mixture and ignition timing accordingly.
