First, the fault characteristics
Every time the hydraulic automatic gearbox of electric vehicle refuels to the standard line, it only travels 10km, and the oil leaks to the dangerous line. Repeated maintenance cannot eliminate the fault. The car's automatic gearbox was disassembled several times, and the front oil seal was repeatedly replaced, still leaking oil.

After the steel flange was corrected and adjusted, the runout reached 0. 10mm, and the oil leakage did not improve after replacing with new oil. After careful analysis, the problem may still be inside the automatic gearbox. When disassembling the automatic gearbox and the oil pump, it was found that the O-type oil seal on the outer ring of the oil pump was broken, and finally the real cause of oil leakage was found. The O-ring was replaced and put into use again, and the oil leakage fault was completely cured.
Second, the reasons for the failure
Common factors that cause oil leakage in transmission are: poor sealing gasket in various parts of transmission, damaged oil seal or loose fastening bolt, damaged transmission housing, excessive gear oil, blocked exhaust hole of transmission, worn oil seal or flange, excessive clearance at shaft end, loose seat hole and bearing, damaged gasket, and the surface processing quality of each seal does not meet the requirements of product drawings.
In addition, improper use of lubricating oil can also cause oil leakage. There are two main reasons for the above oil leakage: first, there is a gap in the sealing surface, but there is a pressure difference between the two sides of the seal. Eliminating or reducing any factor can prevent or reduce leakage.
Third, preventive measures.
The main measures to prevent oil leakage of electric vehicle gearbox are as follows: First, use oil-resistant asbestos pad as the end pad of the cover, so that the seal will not fail due to its aging and cracking. The second is to use a large cross-section exhaust plug to avoid gear oil seepage caused by the pressure increase in the box. Third, according to different regions and seasons, choose the designated brand of gear oil.
Generally, 150 industrial gear oil is selected to avoid excessive foam caused by improper oiling, so that the oil pressure in the cavity rises sharply and leads to oil leakage. Apply sealant on both sides of bolts and washers to ensure a good seal. The amount of gear oil should not be too much, and it should be filled in strict accordance with the regulations, and it is best to control it flush below the oil filler, downward10 mm.
