The origin and celebrity deeds of Tomb-Sweeping Day 80

Tomb-Sweeping Day, I believe everyone is familiar with it, around April 5th. The ancients divided a year into 24 solar terms and used this calendar to sow and harvest. Qingming is one of the twenty-four solar terms, fifteen days after the vernal equinox. According to the saying of "always asking questions": "Everything is long, clean and bright at this time. So it is called Qingming. " Therefore, "Tomb-Sweeping Day" was originally the name of the solar term, and later, with the custom of banning fire from sweeping graves, Tomb-Sweeping Day was formed.

During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, a concubine in Jin Xiangong killed the prince by playing a prank to make her son a monarch. The prince has a younger brother named Zhong Er. In order to avoid the persecution of his concubine, he left his hometown and went into exile.

He lived a miserable life when he was in exile in Zhong Er. Most courtiers who fled their hometown with him left him, leaving only a few loyal people, one of whom was called Jiezitui.

On one occasion, Zhong Er fainted from hunger. In order to save him, meson tui cut a piece of meat from his leg and gave it to Zhong Er, saving his life.

19 years later, Zhong Er returned to China and became a monarch. After going through all the hardships, he decided to reward those courtiers who shared his joys and sorrows. However, he only forgot to reward mesons!

Someone complained about meson push, and Zhong Er suddenly remembered it and felt guilty, so he immediately asked meson push to accept the reward. However, Jiezitui didn't like to be a person who strived for merit, so he quietly hid in the mountains.

What shall we do? Someone gave Zhong Er an idea: "Let Yamakaji go! Fire on three sides, leave one side. The meson pushes and doesn't run, and it comes out by itself. "

However, the fire burned for three days and nights, but the meson was not pushed out after all. Zhong Er took them up the hill and saw mesons pushing and holding a dead willow tree. The body of meson tui blocked the willow cave, and there was a poem written by meson tui in the cave, urging Zhong Er to be a wise king.

Zhong Er was very sad and cried for a long time. Then he buried the meson under the charred willow tree. To commemorate Jiezitui, Zhong Er ordered the construction of an ancestral temple on the mountain. Because he regretted releasing Yamakaji, he designated this day as Cold Food Festival. Everyone can't make a fire on this day every year, so they can only eat cold food.

In the second year, Zhong Er led ministers to climb a mountain to pay homage to meson tui.

Walking to the charred old willow, they actually saw the old willow resurrected! Thousands of green branches are dancing in the wind. Zhong Er looked at the resurrected old willow and seemed to see meson push again. He walked respectfully to the willow tree, squeezed a handful of willow trees affectionately, braided them into a circle and put them on his head. He named the resurrected old willow "Qingming Willow" and named this day Tomb-Sweeping Day.
