The fifth day of the fifth lunar month is the Dragon Boat Festival in China.

We are most familiar with the Dragon Boat Festival on the fifth day of May, which is called the Dragon Boat Festival. Customs include making zongzi, boiling eggs, hanging purses, drinking male soybean milk and so on. In fact, this is a common custom in southern China and an extension of the Dragon Boat Festival in May. On May 15, I welcome my daughter and son-in-law home. Later, it was added to commemorate Qu Yuan, so jiaozi was put into the water to feed the fish, so that it would not harm Qu Yuan's health. This is generally recognized as the Dragon Boat Festival.
