In order to sculpt these works, there is not enough ice and snow in downtown Sapporo. In the first two months of the Snow Festival, hundreds of trolleys, trucks and cranes went to the nearby mountains day and night to transport ice and snow. The team carrying snow stretches for several kilometers on the snow, which is very spectacular.

During the snow festival, there is an ice sculpture stage in the venue, with famous singers and troupes to entertain. In order to keep it fresh, after the five-day event, all the snow sacrifice works were destroyed by "strange hands".
