Why does the steam electric iron leak?

The steam iron has dual functions of temperature adjustment and steam injection, which improves the tedious process of ironing clothes and saves more time. Improper use of steam electric iron may lead to water leakage. There are many reasons for this situation, including insufficient temperature, wrong warm-up gear, wrong pressing time, wrong pressing interval, over-full water reservoir, worn water valve and so on. During maintenance, it can be handled according to different situations. Let's take a look at Bian Xiao. What should I do if the steam electric iron leaks?

1, water has just been added, but it has not been connected to the power supply, and the water directly flows out of the chassis. Please check whether the steam knob is in the "0" position.

2. At the beginning of ironing, please turn off the steam knob when checking whether the indicator light is on. If the temperature is insufficient, water is not enough to atomize. Check whether the plug is inserted correctly. If the plug is not plugged in properly, water cannot be heated into steam because the indicator light is not on and the temperature is not enough, so water will leak from the steam hole when the spray button is pressed.

3. If it leaks after adding water, just check whether the steam button is off before adding water. The steam button must be turned off before adding water to the steam electric iron.

4. There is a water drop switch at the front end of the handle of the steam electric iron to drop water on the iron plate at one time. When the temperature is high enough, water evaporates into steam and is ejected from the bottom of the well. The temperature of the iron plate is too low, so the water can't evaporate, which leads to water leakage. If you turn off the water again, it won't leak.

Why does the steam electric iron leak?

1, insufficient temperature

If the temperature is not enough, the water may not be atomized enough. You should check whether the plug is plugged in. If the plug is not plugged in properly, the indicator light will also go out. The natural temperature is not enough, and water cannot be heated into steam. You can press the spray button and water will leak out of the steam hole.

2. The hot rotating gear is not in the correct position.

This problem is easy to solve. When using, first set it to the appropriate I position, let it spray naturally, and then slowly adjust the temperature knob. When using the steam injection function, 3rd gear or more is required. Because the low temperature is not high enough, water cannot be atomized into steam, which may cause water leakage.

3, press the timing is wrong

The spray button can only be pressed normally when the temperature control indicator goes out; When the indicator light is on, if the spray button is pressed, the water will not be atomized, which will directly lead to the leakage of hot water from the bottom.

4. Wrong pressing interval

When using steam spray, the interval between pressing the spray button should not be less than 2 seconds. You can't press the button when the indicator light is on, and you can only press the button when the light is off. The specific reason is explained in the sermon above. If hot water is not atomized into steam, it will flow out from the bottom plate, which should be noted.

5. The reservoir is too full

Because the water reservoir will leak when it is filled with water, the excess water can be poured out to raise the temperature and eliminate water leakage and steam leakage.

6, water valve wear

In order to control the water leakage caused by the damage of the steel wire mill in the water valve, it can be replaced with a new steel wire of the same specification first. If the fault is still not eliminated, it may be that the hole in the ceramic body is worn. We can remove the valve and carefully polish the inner hole of the ceramic body with emery to make the diameter of the inner hole adapt to the new steel wire with larger size, which is subject to water leakage and sliding up and down.
