Installation method of Excelle (1.6L91) timing belt

The removal steps of Excelle synchronous belt are as follows: 1. Unplug the negative battery cable. 2. Remove the crankcase from the outlet hose of the air cleaner and force the fresh air pipeline to ventilate. 3. Disconnect the electrical connection between the air temperature sensor and the air cleaner outlet hose. 4. Remove the air cleaner outlet hose from the throttle body. 5. Remove the bolts of the air cleaner housing, and then remove the air cleaner housing. 6. Remove the right front wheel. 7. Remove the right front wheel anti-flying cover. 8. Remove the connected drive belt. 9. As shown in the figure below, remove the bolt of the crankshaft pulley, and then remove the crankshaft pulley. 10. Remove the bolts of the front upper synchronous belt cover, and then remove the front upper synchronous belt cover. 1 1. Remove the front lower synchronous belt cover bolt, and remove the front lower synchronous belt cover (bottom). The installation steps of Excelle timing belt are as follows: 1. Align the timing mark of the crankshaft timing gear with the notch at the bottom of the rear timing belt cover. 2. Align the timing mark of the camshaft timing gear. 3. Install the synchronous belt. 4. Install the right engine bracket (below). 5. Rotate the water pump clockwise until the pointer of the adjusting arm of the synchronous belt automatic tensioner is aligned with the notch on the bracket of the synchronous belt automatic tensioner. 6. Tighten the fixing bolts of the water pump. 7. Turn the crankshaft clockwise twice with the crankshaft pulley. 8. Loosen the fixing bolt of the water pump. 9. Rotate the water pump clockwise until the pointer of the adjusting arm of the synchronous belt automatic tensioner is aligned with the pointer of the bracket of the synchronous belt automatic tensioner (arrow below). 10. Tighten the fixing bolts of the water pump (tightening torque is 10n). 1 1. Crankshaft pulley bolt (installed for rotating crankshaft). 12. Before installation, take the cover up and down synchronously. 13. Tighten the bolts with sleeves on the front upper and lower synchronous belts. 14. Install crankshaft pulley. 15. Install the crankshaft pulley bolt. Tighten the pulley bolt to 95n, and then tighten 30 15. 16. Install the connected drive belt. 17. Install the right front wheel anti-flying cover. Install the right front wheel. 19. Install the air cleaner housing and tighten the mounting bolts. 20. Connect the air cleaner outlet hose to the throttle body. 2 1. Crankcase forced ventilation fresh air pipeline is connected with air cleaner outlet hose. 22. Connect the electrical connector of the air temperature sensor to the outlet hose of the air cleaner. 23. Connect the negative cable of the battery.
