Oil pollution of Jetta engine and throttle valve

First, engine oil.

1, unless it is an imported cold-mounted engine with good quality, it is normal for the engine to leak oil. As long as the soil can be attached with oil, it is normal. But if you directly see the bright black oil, then the engine is leaking oil.

2. How to easily get tips on oil pollution?

1) Prepare cleaning tools.

Engine external cleaning agent (called engine compartment cleaning agent or others, including foam and mist) and engine wire harness maintenance agent (engine polishing agent, etc.). ). For small brushes, the width of the brush head should not be too large, and there are many and narrow gaps in the engine compartment, so it is more convenient to use a narrow head. Mask and gloves. Engine surface cleaning agent is harmful to human body and has a pungent smell. It is best to prepare these two things.

2) Find a parking place

Although no water gun is used for flushing, sewage will still flow to the ground after cleaning, which is not good for the environment. Before cleaning the engine, it is recommended to park the car in a place with a drain, such as the manhole cover and sewer beside the community and road.

3) Cleaning sludge

Engine external cleaner is on site. First, simply dust the engine compartment with a cloth or brush, and then you can use the external cleaner of the engine to operate. As a reminder, if you just stop, don't rush to spray cleaning agent, wait for about 5 minutes, and then clean the engine after cooling slightly, otherwise it will "stimulate" the engine.

Firstly, shake the bottle of engine surface cleaner, and spray it on the parts in the engine compartment after it is uniform. The spraying distance is about 15 cm, so it is more appropriate to spray evenly as far as possible, and the places with more sludge should be treated emphatically. It should be noted that some parts in the engine compartment are waterproof or detergent-proof, such as fuse box, ignition coil, generator and E-Cu driving computer. It is best to waterproof them (cover them with plastic sheets). These components can be cleaned separately. It is also effective to spray cleaning agents on a cloth and then wipe them. Except for the above-mentioned parts that can't be stained with water (cleaning agent), the cleaning methods of other parts are the same. The principle of cleaning is to wash as much as possible as long as you can touch it with your hands.

4) Small brush cleaning

After spraying the cleaning agent, wait for about 5 minutes, and let the cleaning agent continue to "eat" the sludge until it is completely dissolved. Then scrub with a small brush, and you can obviously see the effect of sludge melting.

There are many gaps in the engine compartment, which need to be cleaned patiently, because curing agent (equivalent to a layer of wax oil) will be sprayed at the back. If you can't wash it clean, the dirty things will be sealed inside.

The intake manifold of the engine is made of metal and plastic, which is easy to stick with sludge, ugly in color and difficult to clean, so it needs to be "cleaned" with a brush. In addition, there are electricity and oil pipes in the engine compartment, which also need to be cleaned to prevent sludge and other dirt from corroding them and causing leakage. These textured pipes are also a tricky job and need to be cleaned slowly. Finally, don't forget to spray cleaning agent on the plastic decorative cover that has just been removed.

5) Wash with clear water

After dissolving the sludge, the detergent will still adhere to all parts in the engine compartment, so it should be washed with clean water before they are about to dry. The water washing mentioned here is not a life-threatening washing, but a high-pressure water gun washing. Just wash away the melted sludge, because it can't be cleaned with suede or cloth, and the melted sludge will continue to stick to all parts.

If you are inexperienced or don't know much about the engine structure, it is recommended to use small equipment, such as mineral water bottles or small flower watering pots, so as to ensure more accurate movements and avoid splashing and injuring innocent people. Using them to clean is much less "side effects" than using high-pressure water guns.

However, before washing with water, preventive measures should be taken, that is, starting the engine to keep idling. There are two reasons: First, it is difficult to start the engine in a short time by preventing the key parts such as the ignition coil from splashing water; Second, after the engine is running, the body temperature will rise, which can accelerate the evaporation and drying of water.

6) harness care agent

After cleaning with water, be sure to dry the water on the engine compartment parts. Air gun drying is the best method. If not, you can only dry it with suede or a cloth with good water absorption (it is best not to use a towel, it will lose your hair), and then let it dry completely.

Second, the throttle is oily.

1, greasy throttle is normal. The throttle valve is the air inlet of the engine. When the air flows through the throttle for a long time, the dust in the air and the engine oil waste gas in the crankcase will accumulate on the throttle wall, which will lead to the excessive opening of the throttle and affect the precise control of the throttle by the engine computer. Too dirty throttle will lead to engine idling instability and it is difficult for the car to stop, so it needs to be cleaned regularly.

2. How to clean the throttle?

1) First of all, remove the engine cover plate to facilitate the removal of the pressure pipe and the pipeline fixed on it. It should be noted that in the process of removing the screws, it is necessary to prevent the screws from falling into the engine compartment.

2) After removing the pressure pipe, you can see the throttle valve. Because the throttle position is relatively low and there are many pipelines around, be careful when removing the throttle to avoid damaging the pipelines.

3) After the throttle valve is taken out, the engine block is exposed. Be sure to hold this space, and remember to block the snorkel to prevent foreign objects from entering the engine block.

4) After the throttle valve is taken out, it can be found that there are a lot of oil stains inside and outside the throttle valve, and a lot of dirt and impurities are attached.

5) After spraying the cleaning agent on the dirty part, you can wipe it carefully with a cloth. When wiping, pay special attention to those cracks that are easy to hide dirt and shelter dirt. If the gap is too small, you can clean it with a cotton swab dipped in detergent.
