What is a condensing boiler?

The condensing boiler uses an efficient condensation waste heat recovery device to absorb the sensible heat in the high-temperature flue gas discharged from the boiler and the latent heat released by steam condensation, so as to improve the thermal efficiency of the boiler.

The latent heat of water vapor in flue gas that can be recovered by condensing boiler is related to the type of fuel used by boiler and the outlet water temperature of boiler. When an ordinary boiler without condensation recovery device burns natural gas, if the thermal efficiency of the boiler is 90% according to the low calorific value of the fuel, the flue gas temperature will drop to 30 ~ 50℃ and its thermal efficiency will increase to about 107% after adopting condensation waste heat recovery device.

Fuel combustion will produce a large amount of CO2, NOX and a small amount of SO2, which will be discharged into the atmosphere, causing greenhouse effect and acid rain, and damaging the environment. Condensing boiler can remove these harmful substances in flue gas conveniently while condensing water vapor in flue gas. Therefore, the use of condensing boilers is also of great significance to environmental protection.

The exhaust temperature is too low due to condensation. Below the critical point, condensed water will be produced, which will produce acidic discharge and corrode the boiler heat exchanger. Therefore, it is necessary to control the exhaust temperature.
