The reason of carbon deposition in throttle valve is that the temperature of engine oil rises and some engine oil vapor is produced. Hazards of Throttle Carbon Deposition: Mild or moderate carbon deposition has little influence on daily driving, but has great influence on idle working conditions. When idling, the throttle opening is very small, and carbon deposition will further reduce the intake air at idling, resulting in unstable engine operation and even flameout.
