What is the function of EGR valve?

EGR valve, also known as exhaust gas recirculation valve, is the most widely used valve in automobiles, mainly to reduce the emission of nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas. The details are as follows: EGR valve position: it is usually located on the right side of the intake manifold, near the throttle valve, and there is a short metal pipe leading to the exhaust manifold. Its function is to control the amount of exhaust gas entering the intake manifold and make a certain amount of exhaust gas flow into the intake manifold for recycling. EGR valve is a very important and key component in exhaust gas recirculation device. Reason of EGR valve: Excessive exhaust gas recirculation will affect the normal operation of the engine, especially at idle speed, low speed and low load, and the engine will run in a cold state. When full load (full throttle) requires engine power, the recycled exhaust gas will have a serious impact on the performance of the engine. In order to prevent exhaust gas recirculation from having a great impact on engine performance, modern electronically controlled engines also adopt exhaust gas recirculation closed-loop control strategy. The EGR valve position sensor is installed on the exhaust gas recirculation valve to perform closed-loop correction feedback control on the actual exhaust gas recirculation.
