How to Adjust BMW 3 Series Valve

Valve regulator 153624 is the ignition sequence adjustment, and the ignition sequence is 1, 5, 3, 6, 2, 4. The ignition sequence of a six-cylinder engine is: 153624. When the piston of the first cylinder is at the top dead center of the compression stroke, the valve adjustment sequence is: one, six, five, four, three, two pairs, exhaust, no, advance, which means that the intake valve and exhaust valve of the first cylinder are all adjusted. All valves in the sixth and fifth cylinders have adjusted the exhaust valves. The intake valve and exhaust valve of the fourth cylinder are not adjusted. The third and second cylinders only adjust the intake valves.

For 153624, it means 1 full cylinder adjustment, 53 cylinder adjustment, 62 cylinder adjustment and 4 cylinder adjustment. In the valve adjustment of a 4-cylinder engine, it means that the piston of 1 cylinder is at the top dead center. At this time, the clearance between the two valves of 1 cylinder can be adjusted by adjusting the valves, which is called "double". At the same time, cylinder 2 can adjust the exhaust valve clearance, which is called "exhaust".

Automobile valve, also known as throttle, is responsible for injecting fuel into the engine and discharging exhaust gas. In traditional engines, each cylinder has only one intake valve and one exhaust valve. This design has the advantages of simple structure, low cost, convenient maintenance and good low speed performance. The disadvantage is that the power is difficult to improve, especially at high speed, the inflation efficiency is low and the performance is weak.
