For example, a salt merchant in Yangzhou wanted to paint, but he said he wouldn't do it. In desperation, the salt merchant learned that he liked to eat dog meat, so he made a "dog meat plan". Zheng Banqiao smelled the meat and soon came to an old man's house with his violin. He only thinks that the yard is clean and tidy, and the music played by the old people also serves the quiet and distant, like the sound of nature. Zheng Banqiao thought he had met a bosom friend, so he splashed ink and drew some pictures with words. It was not until the salt merchants gave a big banquet and invited guests to appreciate Zheng Banqiao's calligraphy and painting that he realized that he had been cheated. If he didn't hear such stories, Zheng Banqiao would seem a little detached and aloof, but with these stories and legends, he would be as kind as a brother next door.

Zheng Banqiao is known as the "Three Masterpieces of Calligraphy and Painting", which shows his superb skills in all aspects.
