The solar terms reflected by the moonlit night are a kind of fright.

Moonlit Night is a five-character poem written by Du Fu, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty. It is the author's work of longing for the moon and homesickness when Chang 'an was banned.

Original text:

The moonlight is deeper than half a house, and the big dipper is withered south. ?

Tonight, through the green screen window, I know that spring is warm and the sound of insects is fresh.

Translation:

The night is still deeper, and the moonlight only illuminates half of the family, and the other half is hidden in the darkness. The Big Dipper is tilted, so is Nandou. I didn't know the arrival of spring until tonight. Outside the screen window reflected by leaves, the chirping insects came to the house for the first time.

With the help of imagination, this poem expresses his wife's thoughts about himself and his own thoughts about his wife. The first association is like a wife looking at the moon in Zhangzhou, missing herself, and telling the poet's homesickness in Chang 'an. Zhuan Xu said that children look at the moon with their mothers and don't understand their mothers' feelings of missing their loved ones, which shows the poet's feelings of missing children and caring for his wife.

"Neck Belt" is about an imaginary wife who is full of sadness and longing for the moon. The tail couplet pinned the hope of welcoming the bright moon together in the future, reflecting the suffering of lovesickness today. The whole poem is novel in conception, well organized, clear in words, sincere and touching.

In the spring of the 15th year of Tianbao (756), An Lushan attacked Tongguan from Luoyang. In May, Du Fu moved from Fengxian to Baishui (now Baishui County, Shaanxi Province) to his uncle. In June, Chang 'an fell, Xuanzong fled to Shu, the rebels entered Baishui, and Du Fu fled to Qiang village in Zhangzhou with his family. In July, Su Zong ascended the throne in Lingwu (now Lingwu County, Ningxia). Du Fu learned that he had arrived in Lingwu from Zhangzhou alone, only to be captured by Anshi rebels on the way and taken back to Chang 'an. In August, the author was forbidden to write this poem in Chang 'an.
