International Nurses' Day.

May 12 every year is the International Nurses' Day, which was established by the International Council of Nurses to commemorate florence nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Its basic purpose is to advocate, inherit and carry forward Nightingale's humanitarian spirit of fearlessness, dedication and saving lives.

International Nurses' Day aims to encourage nurses to inherit and carry forward the glorious tradition of nursing, treat every patient with "love, patience, carefulness and responsibility" and do a good job in nursing. Its basic purpose is to advocate, inherit and carry forward Nightingale's humanitarian spirit of fearlessness, dedication and saving lives.

International Nurses' Day Memorial Award:

In 199 1, Article 2 of the Florence Nightingale Medal Rules adopted by the Budapest Congress of the International Committee of the Red Cross stipulates that the medal can be awarded to male and female nurses and male and female volunteer nurses who have made the following outstanding achievements in peacetime or wartime: "With extraordinary courage and dedication, they are committed to saving patients, disabled people or victims of war disasters, and can be awarded posthumously."

The nightingale medal is silver. On the front, there is a portrait of florence nightingale and the words "In memory of florence nightingale, 1820 to 19 10".

The circle on the back is engraved with "the true meaning of eternal humanity and compassion", and the name of the medal holder and the date of award are engraved in the middle. The medals are connected with the honor card decorated with the Red Cross in the center by red and white ribbons. Along with the medal, there is also a certificate printed on parchment.
