How to remove the Fit egr valve?

The Fit egr valve of Pacific Auto Network is located in the engine compartment. Before disassembly, it is necessary to turn off the battery, then remove the fixing screws on the egr valve one by one, and finally remove the plugs on the intake pipe, egr valve and vacuum regulator.

EGR valve is the valve of exhaust gas recirculation system. If the EGR valve is broken, there will be phenomena such as unstable idle speed or even flameout, flashing fault lights, annual emission failure, engine oil burning and blue smoke from exhaust gas. When the EGR valve is always in the open state, the car will appear black smoke, weak acceleration and increased fuel consumption. After adding low-purity gasoline or fuel treasure by mistake, the sudden waste gas valve (EGR valve) may be damaged. The waste valve works at high temperature of the engine. Over time, they will age, as will the cover gasket and baffle of the valve chamber. The function of waste gas valve is to appropriately reduce fuel consumption, improve engine efficiency, reduce exhaust temperature and reduce the generation of nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide.

The failure of EGR valve is mostly due to carbon deposition and blockage in the passage, so the EGR valve should be cleaned or replaced in time to ensure the normal operation of the engine. Cleaning EGR valve with carburetor cleaner can remove carbon deposits in intake, throttle and EGR valve. For the connecting pipe between EGR valve and air inlet, the pipe is slender and curved, so it can be sprayed with cleaning agent to burn it, and then gently knocked out after natural cooling.
