The reason why there is water in the atmosphere protection quenching furnace is that the entrance of the atmosphere furnace needs to be sealed with a silicone ring, which will melt at high temperature and need to be cooled by adding a water circulation.

The old-fashioned atmosphere furnace needs water on the whole furnace surface, and the temperature of the quenching furnace is reduced by circulating water.
