According to historical records, the clay sculpture of spring cattle "entered from the middle gate of the meridian gate, paid tribute to Ganqingmen and Ciningmen, and was played by the internal supervisor, and all the ceremonies were retired." The scene is grand and solemn. Later, this ceremony spread to the people and became a national movement, which was passed down from generation to generation and was called Dachun.

People attach great importance to "spring" and regard the year of "double spring" as a good year. "Double beginning of spring" and "Year without beginning of spring" are concepts in the summer calendar, which means that there is no "beginning of spring" or "Double beginning of spring" year in the whole year of the lunar calendar, because some years of the lunar calendar are shorter than the year of the return, and some years are older than the return. For example, 20 16 Lunar Year of the Monkey is a year without spring, that is, a day without beginning of spring all year round. There is no year without spring in the official calendar, because every year begins with "beginning of spring" and Meng Chun begins as soon as the solar term in beginning of spring arrives, so there is "beginning of spring" every year.
