What is a gas spring? What kinds of gas springs can be divided into?
Classification of gas springs:
1. Lifting gas spring is the most widely used gas spring. It mainly plays an auxiliary role, with only the shortest and longest positions, so it can't stop itself during the journey. Widely used in automobile, textile machinery, printing equipment, office equipment, construction machinery and other industries. Free gas spring has been widely used in automobile, construction machinery, printing machinery, textile equipment and other industries because of its light weight, stable work, convenient operation and favorable price. Or cold environment, acidic or alkaline environment, etc.
Second, self-locking gas springs (angle adjusters and controllable gas springs) are widely used in medical devices. With the help of some release mechanisms, this kind of gas spring can stop at any position in the stroke, and after stopping, it has a great locking force (up to 10000N or more).
3. Free stop gas springs (friction gas springs and balance gas springs) are mainly used in kitchen furniture, medical equipment and other fields. Its characteristics are between free gas spring and self-locking gas spring: it can stop at any position in the stroke without any external structure, but there is no extra locking force. Mainly through the controller (handle or cable) to achieve the effect. It can also be achieved through the expansion and contraction of the piston rod. When it is stopped at the ideal position by the controller, the valve will be closed independently and the piston rod will be locked at the required position. When locking occurs, locking can be achieved. However, if the locking force is exceeded, the locking function will no longer be effective.
Four, swivel chair gas spring (pneumatic rod) is mainly used for swivel chair position adjustment. It is characterized by controllability and large demand.
5. Gas traction spring is a special kind of gas spring: other gas springs are in the longest position in the free state, that is, they move from the longest position to the shortest position after being subjected to external force, while gas springs are in the shortest position in the free state and run from the shortest position to the strongest position when being pulled. There are also corresponding free and self-locking types in the traction gas spring.
6. Shock absorbers are widely used in automobiles and medical equipment, and their characteristics are that the resistance changes with the running speed. It can obviously buffer the speed of the connecting mechanism. Damper is mainly used for buffering, and its biggest feature is that the force of gas spring changes with the change of motion speed. When the acting point of the force guiding the gas spring moves rapidly, the resistance of the spring increases obviously, while when the acting point moves slowly, the resistance is almost zero. Dampers are mainly used in washing machines, refrigerators and other industries.
