Most positioners are fixed, some are telescopic or rotary to facilitate the loading and unloading of weldments, and they are manually, pneumatically and hydraulically driven. The clamping mechanism is the main part of the fixture. Its structural forms are various and relatively complex, and its driving modes are also varied. In some large and complex fixtures, the clamping mechanism has many structural forms and uses many power sources, such as manual plus pneumatic, pneumatic plus electromagnetic, etc. This kind of multi-power fixture is called hybrid fixture. In advanced industrial countries, some widely used clamping mechanisms have been standardized and serialized, so they can be selected in process design.
