If the timing belt is completely broken, the valve will open and close at the wrong time. When the piston reciprocates up and down at the wrong time, the valve and the piston will collide with each other, resulting in the damage of the valve and the piston and making the engine unable to work. In severe cases, the engine needs to be overhauled.

Matters needing attention in replacing automobile timing belt

When assembling the belt, the belt must be tightened, and the timing point cannot be loosened. After adjusting the timing point, use the Allen wrench to adjust the pointer to screw the tensioner, and use the sleeve disk crankshaft to rotate clockwise twice to ensure the accuracy of the timing point.

1. First install the tensioner and adjust it to the loosest position. The adjustment position mark of the inner corner hole is opposite to 180.

2. Install the belt and adjust the tensioner. When adjusting, align the lower end of the tensioner gap with the pointer, and then tighten the bolt.

3. Assemble the timing belt cover, first install the middle iron cover, then install the upper and lower covers, and then install the generator pulley, tensioner and belt in turn.
