How is the frost, snow and rain formed?
Snow: solid, condensed by high-altitude water vapor;
Rain: liquid, liquefied by water vapor at high altitude;
Dew: liquid, liquefied by water vapor on the surface;
Fog: liquid, which is formed by the liquefaction of surface water vapor.
The formation of frost or fog depends on the surface temperature. When the surface temperature is above 0℃, dew or fog is formed, and the formation of fog or dew depends on the suspended matter in the air. When there is a lot of suspended matter in the air, fog is formed. When the surface temperature is below 0℃ or close to 0℃, frost is formed.
Whether rain or snow is formed depends on the temperature of the upper air flow. If the temperature is above 0℃, rain will form. If the temperature is below 0℃, it condenses into small ice crystals, but it is not necessarily snow during the landing, but it depends on the surface temperature. If the surface temperature is lower than 0℃ or close to 0℃, it is snowing, otherwise it is raining.
Hail is formed by condensation of small liquid water droplets, which is condensation, not condensation.
