The intake pressure sensor (MAP for short) is connected with the intake manifold through a vacuum tube. It senses the change of vacuum degree in the intake manifold under different engine speed loads, and then converts the change of internal resistance of the sensor into a voltage signal for ECU to correct the fuel injection amount and ignition timing angle.

In EFI engine, the intake pressure sensor is used to detect the intake air volume, which is called D-type injection system. The intake pressure sensor does not directly detect the intake air volume like the intake air flow sensor, but indirectly detects it. At the same time, it is also affected by many factors, so there are many differences between the detection and maintenance of the intake air sensor, and the faults caused by it also have their particularity.
